The title for this composition came from Brown's young son, then in grade school, who was trying to spell "Louisiana" for a school project. Although the chord structure is completely different, the tune functions as a slow blues.

Commissioned by Ron Horn as a Christmas gift for his wife, this arrangement by orchestra leader Vance Thompson is a medley of two of Cathy's favorite Broadway tunes, "Matchmaker, Matchmaker" from Fiddler on the Roof, and "Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries," from Fosse.
