Tenor saxophonist Abraham Burton and drummer Eric McPherson have been prominent figures on the international jazz scene for more than 30 years. The pair have honed a distinctive style that often invokes positive comparisons to John Coltrane’s classic quartet of the 1960s. Their performance will be a reunion of sorts with pianist Taber Gable, with whom they have shared the bandstand on many occasions.
